UFC Heavyweight champion
UFC heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez, who famously took the belt away from Brock Lesnar in UFC 121, is currently undergoing surgery for a damaged shoulder. It is unknown if this injury was from his fight with Lesnar or if this is an older injury.
Cain is currently at the Las Vegas hospital undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder to repair a partially torn cuff.
As of right now, there is no plans for future fights, but I’m sure when he is 100% ready, he will be back. I don’t see Velasquez retiring anytime soon.
