Birchbox: February

Inside of my box

I first must apologize for posting this extremely late.  I got this box on the second week of February.  March’s box should be on it’s way as we speak, so I better get this one up before the other one comes, uh?  So far, this box is my favorite.

The wrapped portion in the box

Oh yes, I finally received a NARS products!  I’ve always wanted to try NARS’ Orgasm products.  I really wanted the blush, but I guess this has to do.  I haven’t used it yet, but maybe tomorrow, I will try it out.

NARS in Orgasm

Orgasm in a tube!

Here is NARS Illuminator in the color Orgasm.  The tube is about 1.1 fl oz and it comes in the NARS classic black packaging.  The color is kinda peachy pink.  It goes on as a liquid, but dries into a iridescent sheen on your skin.  You can place this product anywhere: cheekbones, eyebrows, chest, anywhere!

A little goes a long way

I don’t like illuminators, but I’m going to give this a fair chance.  You never know, I might end up loving this product.  Stay tuned!

Pomega5 Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer

This moisturizer smells yummy.  It’s smells slightly sweet green tea scent. I’ve never heard of Pomega5, but so far I’m loving it.  From the Birchbox informational card:  Get a triple close of antioxidants from this light cream, which uses Omega 5 fatty acids, green tea, and verbena to hydrate and brighten skin.

When I tested out this lotion, I did notice my skin much smoother and brighter, but since my face is already matte, I can’t say on the mattifying part.

Sweetriot Chocolate-Covered Cacao Nibs

Last month’s box, there was the chai tea bags. This month, they added Sweetriot chocolates.  Bits of dark cacao seeds dipped into dark chocolate is DELICIOUS.  It reminds me of espresso dipped in chocolate.  Trust me, it’s yummy and the best part, it’s only one nib, one calorie.

All of Sweetriot’s ingredients are responsibly sourced and the tins are made out of recyclable metals.  Cool.

Befine: Exfoliating Brown Sugar Cleanser

By far the STAR of the whole box.  BEST exfoliator I’ve ever used in my life.  Befine is (from the birchbox info card) “a foaming face cleanser that gently sloughs away dead skin using natural brown sugar and oats to leave skin super soft.”

When you first put the cleanser on your face, you can feel the grains from the brown sugar.  It wasn’t harsh, but it wasn’t smooth either.  To me, it was perfect.  The ONE thing that makes this different then any other cleanser is the graduals eventually melt away, so when you rinse your face, you are not left with bits of exfoliant in your eyelashes.  The cleanser even smells like brown sugar and yups, you guess it, it even TASTE good.  Look, I didn’t purposely eat it, but I was exfoliating my lips and I accidently got some in my mouth.  It tasted like brown sugar.  Yum, yum.  I am DEFINITELY repurchasing this product.  I’m in love.

Bare Escentuals: Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara

Sorry, I haven’t even opened this product.  The reason why is because I already have way too much mascaras open right now.  I’m going to open this one up when I finish my other ones, which might take forever!  For now, please visit the Bare Escentuals website for more information.

FTC: Everything was purchased by me with my own money. I am not getting paid to do this blog post, I have no affiliation with this company. These are all my honest opinions.

I just signed up for this… seeing as I totally went to Sephora the other day and had no idea what most of the things were! I’m hoping I forget about this by April 10, I love getting surprises in the mail.

OH…you are going to LOVE it. Birchbox has changed my life. When you think about it, it’s such a great deal. You pay 10 bucks for five sample products. You can’t beat that, yo! Let me know how you like it!
