Here I am working
I recently found Tiffany’s makeup blog, Will Work For Makeup and I am in love. I tend to graviate towards makeup than fashion blogs. Don’t get me wrong, I love fashion blogs as well, but most of the stuff I see are usually high end or clothes I cannot pull off, but dream of pulling off one day.

Honestly, I have no clue what she is doing and I’m probably doing this all wrong, but I loved the questions so much, I decided to answer the questions myself. I hope I am not break any rules, but I just couldn’t help myself.
Who/What blog(s)/ YouTube channel(s) inspired you to start blogging?
There are many blogs that inspired to me start blogging, but the one that “hit the nail on the coffin” was Tasia from Me, In Real Life. She is from Hawaii and blogs about her daily life. Unfortunately, life has gotten much busier for her, so she is taking a break from blogging. I’m hoping for the day that she returns.

My top three blogs at the moment are:
- Wendy From Wendy’s Lookbook: She does awesome quality YouTube videos. She does creative fashion looks, which she likes to call them “pairings.” I am always inspired when I see her videos. My favorite video of hers is probably her most popular video is “25 Ways to Wear A Scarf in 4.5 Mintues.”
2. Kristen from (Studs and Pearls): Lately, I’ve been getting into DIY-ing. Since I am a full-time college student with NO job, I have to find cheap alternative clothing. Sadly, I can’t even afford Forever21. Ya, I’m that broke. That’s why I love Kristen’s blog. Her whole blog is dedicated to current trends/fashion that you can make yourself at a low cost. I wish I had her creativity.
3. Aqui from Aqui: I forgot how I came across her blog. I think I might’ve googled Hilo Bloggers. In the end, I am glad I stumbled upon her blog. She is a fashion blogger who recently moved to Hilo, Hawaii. I love reading about her adventures in the Big Island. She does awesome braided hair tutorials. She has wicked style and I can’t wait for the day until we meet.
What colors do you tend to gravitate towards, in terms of makeup?
My goto color for smoky eye is purple. If I am doing a daytime smoky eye, I go for bronzy browns with gold shimmer. Typically, I don’t wear eyeshadows to school, but anytime I go out, I “blast” (that what my MUA at MAC says) my eyes out.
Name one (or a few) products you like to use, despite knowing it’s probably not the most flattering on you.
I’m pretty sure I am wearing the wrong shade of bronzer. A year ago, I was pretty tan. My foundation used to be in the shade NC42 (MAC). Now I am NC37. The bronzer I am using back then is the same one I am using now, which is Benefit Hoola bronzer. It kinda looks too reddish brown and if I am not careful kinda muddy. Since I am kinda cheap, I refuse to throw away the Hoola bronzer. I wanna use it all up before buying a new one.
Name one limited edition item you wish would become permanent.
Feline by MAC. It’s a dark black kohl eyeliner. Super creamy and looks really sexy when smudged.
What is your favorite YouTube channel (beauty-related or not)?
I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned ShayCarl and his family the ‘Tards quite often. I can’t pick my favorite because I have many, but if I had to choose one, it would be him.
Name one of your favorite beauty products under $10.
Geez, this is hard! I love Aussie 3 Minute Miracle conditioner. It does wonders for my hair. I actually use it as a normal hair conditioner, even though it’s a deep hair mask. It’s the only conditioner that makes my hair feel/look healthy. And who can beat the price, it’s only $3. Another bonus, the conditioner smells like coconuts. Yum!
Name one of your favorite beauty products over $10.
Geez, this is another hard one! I don’t have this product anymore, but I want to get one eventually. It is the Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base. It’s a great way to make yourself look tan without piling on the powder bronzer. It’s like an inner glow like Jessica Alba or Jennifer Lopez have. I believe it cost around $50.

my fav product under $10 is vaseline and over $10 … wow, too many. really, anything in sephora i love. i hardly wear makeup (my entire get-ready routine from rolling out of bed is about 15mins) but i love makeup anyway
I love reading your blog, you know that! I saw this great video on 10 different ways to use vaseline. I was shocked to find out that it’s a great moisturizer for your eyelashes. I am scared to put it by my eyes because I have contacts and I am quite clumsy. I can see myself accidentally putting a glob in my eyes.
OH Sephora and MAC is my weakness. I have to physically avoid the store when I go to the mall. Plus their Hello Kitty line is amazingly cute!
I love that scarf video! I just wish we had scarf weather here lol! I gravitate toward purple as well. It’s such a versatile color that can go mellow for daytime or fierce for nighttime, plus it works well with brown eyes! My favorite beauty product under $10 is probably the Asian pack of blot tissues from Long’s that costs like $2! My favorite one over $10 is the MUFE HD foundation.
I love Wendy’s Lookbook’s blog and youtube video. She is kind, quirky, and stylish. I’ve always wanted to get MUFE HD foundation, but every time I go, I chicken out. I also want the NARS Sheer Glow foundation. Maybe when I get a new job, I’ll make that my first purchase.
