Wish List 8/12/2011

There is a couple things that I’ve been wanting for a long time.  This wish list is more for me than for someone else.  I am planning on buying these things eventually.

A light jean jacket.  I want it to be cropped by my waist area and the sleeves shouldn’t be too tight, because I want to roll it up.  I’m still debating if I should stud the pocket or collar.

TOMS red canvas shoes.  I am obsessed with these shoes.  I think this would be a great addition to my shoe collection.  I don’t have any casual shoes.  Why red?  WHY NOT!  I wear a lot of neutral colors, so a pop of red would be very complimentary.

Black leather chucks.  I haven’t figured out if I want high ankle or low ankle sneakers.  I thought this would be cute to wear at DisneyWorld.  Since I’ll be going in October, I don’t know if it will be raining or cold.  Plus, I don’t want my shoe flying off while riding a ride.  That would be very embarrassing and with my luck, highly likely to happen.

Canon EOS Rebel T3i.  Need I say more?

New wardrobe from F21.  I am long over do for a closet full of new clothes.  I think I haven’t been shopping for almost a year.

Canon ELPH 300 HS.  I spoke about this camera before in my Vlog post.

Cute workout clothes.  I don’t want the exact ones in the picture.

Roller derby skates.  My friend, Jenski, asked me to be apart of her team and I said, “Hells ya!”  I haven’t skated for years, but I figured this is a great way to get in shape.  Their boot camp hasn’t started yet, so if I pass boot camp, then I’m on the team.  Wish me luck!

Kettlebells.

Bosu Ball.

Backpacking backpack.  Ryan from Fluffy2Fit, our friend, Mike, and I are going to spend a month in Europe.  Ryan and Mike is already giving me sh#t for overpacking.  I will be the first one to admit, I bring the BIGGEST suitcase to every trip we have been on thus far.  Since we will be traveling via trains, planes, and automobile I have been seriously looking into buying one of these bad boys, except in a prettier color.  Maybe red, so I can be easily spotted, since I am all of 5 feet 2 inches tall.

I’m sure I can go on, but I will stop here.

What’s on your wish list?

HAHA, I could see you be a really cool rollergirl with cool 70′s hair and shorty short & tube top. That would be a perfect Halloween costume! You should do it.

Rebel T3i? Go for it girl! Once you go DSLR, you never go back! LOL! Seriously, I bought my first DSLR (Rebel XT) in 2006 and I’ve loved it ever since. I’d recommend a cheaper body, but really spend on the lens. Because it’s the lens that really makes the difference.

Thanks for the advice. What kind of lens should I be looking for? I’m very new to photographer, so I guess I would want a lens that’s versatile. Some kind of lens I can use outdoor and indoor (I don’t know if that makes a difference). Is there any camera place I should look for my camera? I was thinking about going to Best Buy, but if there is a wholesale camera place on the islands, I would rather do that.

Anything but the “kit” lens should be good. If you’re going to get a Canon camera, you could go with a Canon, Sigma or Tamron lens. There’s quite a bit of review sites that review how good the lenses are. I’d go with a general lens like an 18-55mm, a 50mm, and maybe something like 75-300mm to cover all ranges of zoom. Then you can go crazy with fisheye or a very wide angle one.

Best Buy is expensive to buy a camera and lenses. Online is a better bet.

      You should blog about this!

I would buy online, but when it comes to technology I want it now. LOL. Okay, I’ll do some research and right before I buy, I’ll email you. Just to make sure I am buying the right thing. I don’t know when I’ll be buying the Canon. It maybe be one to twenty years from now. HAHA.

It’s cheaper to buy online. I bought my digital camera on amazon.com for only $100. It was $30 more at Longs/CVS for the SAME mode. I got the Canon AS forgot the number because I’m outside right now PowerShot.

Shut UP! Me & my friend Vanessa have been talking about trying roller derby for months! It got put on hold when I had my toe fiasco, and then I went on vacation, and then she went on vacation, and now I’m starting school and possibly getting a second job, so now idk if I’ll ever have the time to get around to it!

HAHA. Well, I got the hook ups if you two are still interested. Basically, there is a 6 week boot camp (3x or was it 4x a week). you have to go every time (no skipping) and at the end if you pass the required test, you are on the team. What ever you learned in boot camp is what the test is. Mostly, it’s how to stop, how to fall properly, how to spin (the other direction), and how to “check” someone. My friend loves it. Her derby name is Tawanda Slap A-Ho. Apparently, they name themselves. I don’t know what my name would be…something funny, like Shimmy Tang Tang. LOL. Doesn’t that make you laugh when you say it out loud. Go, Shimmy Tang Tang! WhooHoo.
