I’ve been thinking about different ways to trick my body into exercising. BFF Ron from More Hopeless Than Romantic is buying a bicycle, which I think is so cool! I think biking is a great way to exercise, but like I said on Fluffy2Fit, I don’t trust myself on a bike. Plus, it’s kinda expensive.
For a while now, I’ve been wanting some kick ass rollerblades inline skates. I haven’t skated in like 10 years. Come to think of it, I don’t know if I can still skate. I’m assuming it’s like riding a bike, right?
When I tell people about my inline skate dreams, I mostly got laughters. Apparently, inline skating has been come uncool and so passe. Maybe there is some truth to that. I never see anyone roller skating around the park, not even little kids.
I told my sister about buying incline skates and she suggested that I check out a local bike consignment shop. She said I should try out a bike before dismissing it. She is a big fan of bikes. I’m going to try out her idea. She is right, I should at least try it once.
With that said, I’m going to try out a bike and skates and see which I like better. Cross your fingers…I hope I don’t fall in love with a bike. Dang….I have this weird feeling about this.
What is better…bicycle or skates?

Definitely a bike is the way to go! Bikes will never grow old! Back in the day, I used to have a GT Performer (which cost, almost $200 back then). And I loved it! It looked exactly like this: http://bmxmuseum.com/image/gtperf2_lg.jpg. No matter where I go, I always see kids riding a bike.
Ya…I wouldn’t mind trying out a bike, but we will see. I’m so easily influenced…lol. It’s sucks, but true.
Surfing.
Of course you would say surfing. Once I’m better at it, I wanna buy a board. I’m so junk right now that I need to practice more before buying a board. Ugh, when will this pass!
I used to rollerblade with my mom when I was a kid. She did it for exercise and I just did it cause I thought it was fun haha! I actually think I’d like a bike more nowadays… At least you can (sort of) sit down lol!
HAHA. I agree with you, bikes are kinda the in thing right now. I haven’t noticed how much people ride bikes. Once I started debating with getting a bike, I see them EVERYWHERE. Especially, where we live.
True, I never thought about bike having a seat and all. LOL.
Who the heck cares what the hipster doofuses think right? I’ll tell you what’s cool… cool is being true to yourself.
Also, why choose? Do both! I’m a decidedly uncool 40-something and I regularly bike, sea kayak, do yoga, run half marathons, hike & backpack, go on multiday canoe trips, surf (but not so much the last few years… I would spend 90% of my time sitting there waiting… 9% of my time paddling like my left depended on it and missing the wave anyway… and maybe 1% of the time actually surfing… that old). I’ve also taken circus classes (for 2 years… trapeze) and just this year I took up figure skating… and I LOVE it!!!!!!! In fact, I love it so much I’m getting interested in all forms of skating… Roller, Nordic (spent 3 days last winter skating the Ottawa canal) and yes… even the supposedly uncool inline skating in spring and summer when ice is harder to come by.
So ya… do whatever… do it all… and just have fun and be yourself! You only live once
HAHA! OH, David, I love you. Thank you for that…I really needed it. I sometimes talk myself out of things. I mean, I let the idea of people talking badly about me stop me from what I like to do. I should be like that…who effing cares, right? RIGHT!
I would LOVE to skate around the Ottawa canal…one day. It’s official, that’s on my bucket list!
Thank you for your encouragement! I really appreciate it and I’m so glad we have met!
Hopefully, I’ll see you back here soon! Skate on!
