I Did It. I Got My Emma.

I did it!  I gave in and bought a bike.  Unfortunately, I couldn’t find inline skates.  Who knew Hawai’i is anti-skates?!?

I named my bike Emma.  I don’t know why, but it just seemed like an Emma.  Even though, my bike is silver, I didn’t feel like it was a boy.  LOL.  Wow…that sounded crazy.

Don’t I look so hipster in my PJs?  LOL.  I wrote more about Emma on Fluffy2Fit.  Go ahead and check it out.

I’m such a noob when it comes to bikes.  I already broke Emma, but not to worry, I am going to get her fixed tomorrow (well, but the time you read this…today!)  So, if anyone would like to give me some advice…like maintenance, how to fuel myself for a bike ride, how to shift gears, etc…anything, please comment!

Who’s up for a bike ride?

In my blog, I'll be writing about my adventures through this crazy thing we call... LIFE. Please have your seat in the upright position and tray tables locked and be prepare for take off. Enjoy the ride!

Naming your bike(s) is perfectly normal. All four (soon to be five) of my bikes know their names (Tatiana, Jaguar, Lexus, and Mercedes). I need four bikes because winters in Chicago have a bit more snow and ice than you get in Hawaii.

Phew, I thought I was the only one naming bikes. I told my friends and they pretty much laughed at me. I can’t blame them. I love your blog. I’m trying to read more about cycling. It’s so much fun.

I LOVE Chicago. I wish I lived there…we should switch places. LOL. I am a Uno deep dish pizza fan…more than Gino’s. (Sorry, if you are a Gino’s fan). I still think Millennium Park is the best park I’ve ever been at. (And this goes up against Japan, San Fran, Kentucky, Virginia, and Hawaii.) I still have to visit Wrigley’s Field and Weiner’s Circle. I never swore while ordering food before, it sound kinda fun.

We have an UNO Pizza shop just ten minutes from my house — highly addictive. Chicago is a great place, but the cost of living getting out of hand.

No ways! I would bike to UNO’s every weekend! Well, I shouldn’t be eating pizza every weekend.

If I ever visit Chicago again, we gotta do a bike ride. And vise versa when/if you come to Hawai’i. That sounds like fun!

If you enjoy something that you use, you should name it.. haha.. I know I do. ;P. It’s not that Hawaii is anti-inliine skating, it’s just that at one time, they were cool. That’s no reason to not try and bring them back. Anyways, that’s a hella nice bike, be careful out there. Drivers are little care less about bike riders. See around, Homeslice! keep in touch, and don’t be strange

True, I think inline skating used to be SO cool that it became uncool. You know what I mean? I think Zumba might become one of those fads, but right now it’s still going strong.

I am not brave enough ride on busy roads like Vineyard or King street, but I’ve been riding around slow places like Manoa or Kapiolani Beach park. One day, I want to bike around the island. That would be fun, uh? This year’s Triple Crown season, I’m going to bike around North Shore. I can’t wait!!! It’s going to be so much fun. Finding parking for my car might be hell, but once I hit that open road I know it will be all worth it. LOL

Ya…no stranger status here. It just sucks that we don’t have any classes together! This sucks!

I have seen inline skates in sports authority. I got rid of a pair right before we moved her. I want the old fashioned kind. But I’m going to have to find this bike trail!

Now why didn’t I think of that! That’s the one place I didn’t check. LOL I was thinking about getting the old fashion roller derby style skates for Halloween. I was thinking about being a 70′s roller girl. LOL I’m not too sure if I’m going to do it. I always change my mind every other day. Sigh…the joys of being a woman.
