I’m an avid user of instant Netflix. I’ve had a love-hate relationship with Netflix. I should quit, but I can’t. So what do I do…try to turn my obsession into something productive. Every week, I’ll watch one video from Netflix and do a brief rundown about the movie and then give my thoughts on the video. This week, I choose Outbreak. My dad picked this movie and you can’t say no to daddy, right?
Outbreak (1995) is about an airborne virus, the Motaba virus, that’s infecting a small town in America. The military is trying to contain the virus with all means necessary, but a handful of soldiers believe that there is a cure.
My thoughts:
I haven’t watched Contagion, so I can’t compare the two movies. I liked this movie. There was action, comedy, and a cute monkey! I’m not into disaster movies like Contagion, but for some odd reason Outbreak has always been entertaining for me. I think it has a lot to do with the cast of the movie. Dustin Hoffman was perfect. He could easily be funny or serious at a drop of a hat and still make it look sincere and genuine. Kevin Spacey and Cuba Gooding Jr. were good at balancing Hoffman’s character. They all worked well together. Of course the love story, can’t forget that. Rene Russo plays a recently divorcee to Hoffman and like all disaster movies the love conquers all. OH and we can’t forget the voice. The voice is the great Morgan Freeman. He is always great on screen. Come to think of it, I’ve never hated a Morgan Freeman movie.

I haven’t seen this particular movie but I would love to see reviews of any of the Twilight movies other than the 1st. The 1st was so bad that I couldn’t bring myself to watch any of the others. I’d like a real person’s thoughts on the others before trying to watch the rest.

watched it a really long time ago. Remember it being good. I’ve always like Samuel L. Jackson and medical stuff. Have you watched Soul surfer? It’s moving.
I love Samuel L. Jackson movies too! How can you not love him?! I always laugh when he starts yelling. I don’t know why, but to me it’s entertaining. Medical stuff…I’m trying to think of a movie that I like. All I can think about is TV shows like, Three Rivers. It’s on instant, you should check it out.
No, I haven’t watched Soul Surfer yet. I heard this movie makes you cry…lol…in a good way. I gotta watch this movie soon.
