I found these questions on my blogging twin, Tiera. Check out her answers.
1, Egg nog or hot chocolate? I’ve never tried Egg nog before, so by default I picked hot chocolate.
2, Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? I think the elves wrap them, but Mrs. Claus is in-charge with all the wrapping paper, bows, etc. All Santa does is delivers them and eat cookies.
3, Colored or white lights on the tree/house? Our tree has colored lights. I love when the christmas lights are flashing/blinking. I don’t like it when it’s just on. As far as the house, I like those icicle looking lights. I guess since we can’t make icicles, we put artificial ones.
4, Do you hang mistletoe? No
5, When do you put up your decorations? We usually decorate between the last week of November and the first week of December. It depends when we all have time.
6, What is your favorite holiday dish? Pineapple Ham. We only eat it during christmas. Just thinking about it makes me happy. LOL
7, Favorite holiday memory as a child? I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite, but I remember this holiday memory the most, which is getting the flu on Christmas day when I was like 8 years old. That’s the only year where there is no pictures of me opening my gifts.
8, When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I don’t know. I think I’ve always known he wasn’t real. For the fact that my parents never made a huge deal about it. Also, we didn’t have a fire place, so I kinda always knew.
9, Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Sorta. We open our christmas stockings, which is filled with little gifts and candies.
10, How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Lights and every ornament we own, no matter how big or small the tree it. We have really fancy ornaments mixed in with ghetto ornaments from McDonalds. Oh, can’t forget my ugly ornaments I’ve made all throughout elementary school, which tends to be the best ones.
11, Snow! Love it or dread it? Love it! You always love what you don’t have! I’m sure after months of snow, I’ll hate it too.
12, Can you ice skate? After a 15 mins warm up. I can’t skate well, but I can skate without falling. So, what’s that mediocre?
13, Do you remember your favorite gift? The year that my parents got me my first bike. I can still remember it. It was pink and white frame with all white tires. It was pretty sweet.
14, What’s the most important thing about the holidays for you? Getting time off from school to spend it with friends, family, and the bed.
15, What is your favorite holiday dessert. Oh, that’s a hard one. Gingerbread houses. I love making them and eating them. Plus the smell of gingerbread makes me happy.
16, What is your favorite holiday tradition? Decorating the tree is my favorite.
17, What tops your tree? This weird looking red and gold glitter bulb with a tip. It’s fancy that I don’t know what shape it’s called. I want a Hello Kitty topper, but that got turned down right away. Although, the family is thinking about an angry bird one. Yes to progress!
18, Which do you prefer, giving or receiving? Both. I hate buying gift, because I can never wait until Christmas. i always want my family to open it now. So, I try to shop a couple days before christmas.
19, Cande canes: Yum or yuck? Yummmmmmmmm! That’s how yummy it is. I love peppermint bark too.
20, Favorite Christmas show? Hands down: The Christmas Story! ”You’ll shoot your eye out!”
21, Saddest Christmas song? I’ll be home for christmas by Bing Crosby. I don’t know if it’s the saddest, tho.
22, Favorite Christmas song? The Christmas Song by Alvin and the Chipmunks
What’s your answer?

Yay! I like making gingerbread houses, too. But I don’t think I’ve made one in a while!
I make them in two ways. Ghetto way: buy one of those small milk cartons (the kind when we were in elementary school). Empty and rinse milk carton. Once the inside is dry, glue the carton back up. Smear all four sides with icing. Add graham cracker to all four walls and roof of the carton. Design as you wish…then BOOM…gingerbread house. LOL
The Cheap way: buy on of those gingerbread kits from Target or Walmart. Boom!

I want to wish you Happy Holidays (I’m trying to be PC here). I can’t wait to see what your blog will be up to in the new year.
On a random note: I’m debating which movie to watch: Mission Impossible 4 or Sherlock Holmes 2. Thoughts?

– #11, so true! lived in colorado for a year. loved seeing snow, but after having to drive in it, scrape the ice off your windshield, shovel the ground, gah….no thanks!
– #3, we’ve had some lights for years! they are finally burning out so we are left with a strand of pink and a strand of white!

I loved your answers too! Don’t worry, I had a hard time remember my childhood too. I know I have tons of special christmas memories, but for some odd reason I can only remember that one memory of me getting sick. LOL
I hope you and your family have a wonderful christmas. I can’t wait to read all about it on your blog!
