What Word Best Describes the Way You’ve Spent the Last Month of Your Life?

This photo is from Marc and Angel’s 40 Photo-Illustrated Questions to Refocus the Mind.  Check out my answer to the previous question.

Indulge.
I will indulge in whatever my heart wants.
I will indulge with more time with my love ones.
I will indulge in all the foods that I’ve never had.
I will indulge into things I’ve never done like drive my car over 100 mph on a race track.
I will indulge a nice massage.
I will indulge my pets.
I will indulge the neighborhood kids by giving them sweets.
I will indulge by watching ever bad reality TV show.
I will indulge by visiting somewhere far far away.
I will indulge by watching the sun rising and setting.
Now I turn to you, “What word best describes the way you’ve spent the last month of your life?”

    Hardworking
    :)

I can second that one. You are very hardworking!

“Working” is my word. Not only have I been racking up the hours in the office, I’ve been working on my blog and some other freelance opportunities, putting in work in the gym and in the kitchen, working with my dogs (they’re still a little crazy, lol!), and working on managing my time and making time to hang out with my family and friends :)

Sounds like a whole lot of work, girl! But I after you are done, you are going to feel so accomplished. Let me know how that homemade gym goes. I’m always curious to see how people put a gym together. All I have, so far, is dumbbells. LOL

I love your chosen word; you have some pretty great things on your list!

This is a really tough question for me—I’m honestly kind of stumped, but my first inclination was “auto-pilot”, unfortunately. :(

We have been so busy and I feel like we’ve just been goinggoinggoinggoinggoinggoing and not really savoring the moments that make life amazing. I *do* try to be mindful of this and manage to squeeze in a sunset here or there, or a contemplative moment at the beach, but overall, I feel like our days have been rushed. Our month is winding down and honestly, I am READY for April!

    xo

I totally understand with the whole auto-pilot mode. I hate that mode. LOL I know you have had a stressful March, well, come to think about it, 2012 has been pretty stressful for you, uh? I know April will be a great month for you. I just know it.

I love your instagram photos. I love how you and your hubs have impromptu mini trips to the beach. I wish I had someone who did the same with me. *sigh* still trying to find Mr. Right. He is no where insight, man. If you find him, send him my way, okay?

Unplugged. I have unplugged from the net almost completely. I have only visited my most favorite regular reads (which you would be one of). I have unplugged from commenting almost 95% of the time. I have unplugged from the t.v. and read a book. I have unplugged from designing graphics and worked with actual tangible mediums like pastels this month. Today is one of the few times I’ve actually checked in with my own blog this month and that was because I needed to unplug from real life and use it to vent my frustration with something. So “unplugged” would have to be my word for the month. ;)

My, my…I feel so honored. Thank you so much for your lovely support. I truly appreciate it. Although, we haven’t met (yet), I would be VERY sad if you were to unplug 100%.

I love that you are slowly unplugging. I think I’m too plugged in, if that makes any sense whatsoever. I’m not as strong as you to unplug. Maybe one day.

    Racing.
I feel like I haven’t had a break in forever, and I’m always on my way to the next thing. This is 98% from school. But so much is getting done, and summer break is coming soon.

    • March 21, 2012 at 9:49 PM #

Me, too. I feel like school makes me panicky. I was found out that I have to take 5 classes next semester in order for me to graduate on time. To some students, 5 is no problem, but I’m more of a 3-4 class type of student. LOL

I can’t wait for spring break, which is next week. I have exactly one week off….*sigh* what to do?!? I know, sleep.

Good luck on your blog project. I know it will turn out fine.

thinking. I think WAAAAY too much. I’m working on putting a stop to the thinking and getting to work.

    • March 21, 2012 at 9:47 PM #

LOL. Thinking is good. You don’t want to make rash decisions, right? My problem is that I don’t think enough. I just tell myself that it’s better to regret the things I’ve done and not regret the things I wished I’ve done. LOL It makes me sleep better at night.

What a lovely post Jen, well said. With everything going on in life, school and work, I admire that you still make the time to feed your soul and enjoy life. It is important.

    • March 21, 2012 at 9:44 PM #

Oh, Tania, you are giving me too much credit. It’s hard to have a balance in life, so I just fake it until it all clicks. So far…there is no clicking. LOL

I totally agree about making time to feed the soul and enjoy life. I wish we all had extra time with that! *sigh* maybe when we are 60 years old, still blogging about our grandkids and cool grandma DIY projects. You’ll probably be blogging about the hippest grandma fashion and I’ll be sharing my favorite songs. LOL OMG, can you imagine?!? In a way, I can’t wait.

Great list, Jen. Race track driving! Wow, definitely an indulgence in adrenaline. I catch the beautiful sunsets when I’m at home but never wake up early enough for dawn. My word is “scramble”. Hopefully, the following month will have less need for it.

    • March 27, 2012 at 4:59 PM #

I like your word, “scramble”. I have a good feeling about April being an anti-scramble month for you. But then again, school might scramble things up. I can’t wait for summer vacation! Any plans?
